We had a 3:30 am wake up call to catch a 6 am flight from Dublin to Milan, Italy.
We got up and out just fine but were tired on the plane.
I was so relieved when our experience with Ryanair went off without a hitch this time around.
We were just about to land in Milan and Mallory couldn't have been more excited. She may be the only person I know who LOVES a plane landing...the bumpier the better!
It didn't take us long to find prosciutto and mozzarella.
Once in Milan, we took two separate train rides and arrived in Lake Como. We settled our bags and hopped in a taxi for a reservation Jason made for lunch at a local agriturismo. The ride took about thirty minutes and brought us way up into the hills overlooking the lake.
Our table set up at Bon Pra Agriturismo...
When the wine came, Mallory asked me if wine excites me as much as a kid getting a candy bar. Why yes, yes it does!
I have a hard time keeping up at the agriturismos. They come out with course after course and you never know when the food is going to stop.
Rosalie was disappointed to learn that this was fresh mozzarella. Although she loves mozzarella, she thought it was scoops of ice cream. Major disappointment!
Rosalie was trying to coax the farm dog Zunzi out from behind the dog house.
Beautiful views and great food...Bon Pra was a unique experience!
When we arrived home we took a short nap and then Natalie, Rosalie and I decided to check out Varenna. It is so incredibly beautiful.
On our last trip to Lake Como we stayed in Bellagio on the opposite side of the lake. There are ferries in each village to get around.
Two gelaterias side by side...this was Rosalie's toughest decision all day!
We finished up the evening eating dinner by the lake at Il Molo. This meal was the best yet on this trip.
