Paris, France

The flight over to Paris was pretty uneventful. We tried sleeping as much as we could, but were up most of the night. We landed at about 8 am (2 am back at home).

Some light reading material
We got our rental car and hit the road!
We are staying the night within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. The girls were thrilled when we spotted it while driving on the way into the city!
Mallory and Rosalie grew really tall and shrunk the Eiffel Tower!
I love this photo of Natalie gazing at the Tower. This was her "dream in life". She's been Paris obsessed for a few years now.
We stopped for a bite to eat at Les Cocottes. Cocottes translates to crocks or casseroles and all of the food we had was served in heavy crocks. The girls were really into the French bread...surprise, surprise. Everything was yummy!
Lobster ravioli in a mushroom and artichoke melange
Rosalie was already scoping out the desserts on our walk around the city. She wanted to try macarons...she was a little disappointed she left her macaron printed pants at home. We tried coffee, chocolate and ROSE flavored cookies.
We opted for a river cruise of the Seine since we're only here for one night. We travelled under 22 bridges and saw where The Louvre and the famous guillotine square was. At this point we were all hitting a wall with the jet lag. It was only about 4:30 pm!

Didn't take long for the little ones to start nodding off...Hillary was out like a light in The City of Lights!
We got back to the apartment at 5:30 and fell fast asleep for a nap. Our intention was to head out after sleeping for a few hours but three of the four girls are still sleeping while I'm writing this at 11:30 pm. Natalie was really hoping to see the Eiffel Tower lit up so Jay took her back down to see it. At each hour mark the Tower sparkles and they were lucky enough to catch it at 11:00.

Tomorrow we'll check out the city a little more and then hop in the car to head towards the region of Burgandy!
