We spent the night in New York City with plans to fly out the following morning. Rosalie chose an Italian restaurant for dinner, Toscana 49, that was nearby our hotel. Jay booked us at The Maxwell Hotel! When the receptionist asked for our last name I said “Maxwell” and she said, “Yes, you’re at The Maxwell Hotel”. Confusion all around. 😂
The next morning we visited Ellen’s Stardust Diner for breakfast, where the waitstaff sing broadway hits and pop songs while serving food!
We also walked to Times Square to check out the M&M and Disney store.
Before heading to the airport we popped into Do, an edible cookie dough bakery and Rosalie’s top wish list item while in NYC. The girls packed their cookie dough in their carryons for the LONG flight to Beijing, China.
Our flight to Beijing left New York at 3:30 pm on the 13th. We were served dinner early on and settled in with coloring books and in-flight movies. We were all able to get some sleep throughout the 14 hour flight. With the time change, what would have been breakfast upon waking up, was China’s dinner time - so surprise, we ate dinner again.
We had a short layover in Beijing before heading to Bangkok. We boarded the plane and sat...for three hours! It was snowing in China and we needed to wait it out. The flight to Bangkok was about four hours and we were served dinner...again!
We arrived at 5 am and were greeted by T, a guide who will lead us around the city throughout our two days here.
Many photos to follow...we have a food tour and a boat trip planned with T later today!
