Door County Peninsula, WI

Yesterday, in the early evening, we drove up to Door County Peninsula on Lake Michigan.  The area was beautiful!  Our first stop was Sturgeon Bay.  I went to a winery and sampled a few wines on my own.  Then we went to a sidewalk sale downtown.  Lots of stores were involved but I hit the jackpot with one antique shop.  The prices were already so low, but because they were packing up - there was an additional 50% off.  I spent $6 and left with some awesome stuff!

Next, we were on our way to Fish Creek when we saw this sign in Egg Harbor.  We had to stop!  Maxwell's House is an interior design store but they were closed.

We saw a sign for a concert on the water, so we walked down.  There was a playground right on the harbor.  We could hear the band while the kids played on the swing set.  The weather was perfect.

We didn't stay in Egg Harbor too long because we had planned to go to a drive in theater in Fish Creek.  We stopped at a farmer's market and picked up some fresh cherries and some cherry coke that they make.

We've seen one other drive in movie with the girls (in Prince Edward Island) but they don't remember it.  The only movie showing last night was the new Harry Potter movie.  None of us know anything about the movies or books but we thought it would be fun.

We didn't stay for the whole movie...we barely lasted 1/4 of it.  The girls were getting tired and we still had a drive ahead of us.  Our plan was to drive towards Milwaukee but neither of us were tired so we decided to drive the entire way.  The girls slept in the car until we got to the hotel.  It was a late night!
