Galena, IL

Last night we stopped in the little town of Galena, IL.  We learned that it was president Grant's hometown.  It also has the oldest operating hotel in Illinois.  It was like stepping back in time.  Almost all of the downtown bulidings are historic.  We walked around the downtown, stopped in a few shops and had sushi.  The girls even tried a few things they normally wouldn't eat.  With the history, antique cars lining the streets and the German influences - my parents would have loved this town!

The lighting is funny because I tried taking this picture at night...but this car was awesome!

A t-shirt in one of the shops..."I can't remember if I'm the good sister or the evil one."  Funny!
